Why speak at Alt Legal Webinars?

At Alt Legal, we’re actively seeking dynamic, diverse, and forward-thinking speakers to contribute their expertise on important topics in IP and trademark law, as well as on effective strategies for running an IP department or law firm.

  • Broad Outreach: Our network will connect you with over 10,000 trademark professionals, the world’s second largest audience of trademark practitioners. Speaking at our webinars allows you to reach this high-quality, engaged community and expand your own network.
  • High Engagement: Each of our webinars draws hundreds of live attendees, and even more access the recorded sessions afterward.
  • Lasting Impact: Every webinar is archived in both the Alt Legal Resource Library and on our Webinars On-Demand page, giving your contributions extended visibility.

Best of all, our webinars are completely free for both speakers and attendees, so they’re an open platform for the exchange of invaluable knowledge and insights. Feel free to check out some of our most popular past webinars below or see our full list of on-demand webinars here:

Frequently Asked Questions

  • As the “I 💗 Trademarks” company, our community primarily consists of trademark practitioners, which includes attorneys as well as TMAs (paralegals, legal assistants, and other administrators). They work in diverse settings—from AmLaw 10 firms and Fortune 50 companies to regional firms and solo practices, both in the U.S. and globally. While most specialize in trademark prosecution, we also have a fair number of litigators and patent attorneys. What unites them is a passion for learning and, of course, for trademarks and the intellectual property landscape.

  • There’s no fee to present at Alt Legal. If we’ve invited you to speak, it’s because we believe you have valuable insights and knowledge to share with our audience.

  • Our webinars invitations are shared with over 10,000 trademark professionals and attract thousands of unique registrants annually. Your webinar will also be promoted in the “I 💗 Trademarks” Newsletter (read by thousands of IP professionals weekly) and across our popular social media channels. We also ensure continued visibility by sharing on-demand content links long after the webinar concludes.

  • Our webinars are offered completely free of charge for everyone, Alt Legal customer or not. We have an amazing community of smart, knowledgeable people who want to share their expertise with the world, so we make that possible. We provide the platform, promote the webinar, and even offer CLE credit for many registrants, all for free.

  • To meet CLE requirements across multiple jurisdictions, we ask that your presentation lasts 60 minutes, excluding Q&A and our introduction. Unless we’ve arranged for something different, please allocate 75 minutes in total for your webinar and arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled time.

  • No, one of the key reasons that our community of webinar attendees is so engaged is that Alt Legal Webinars focus on knowledge sharing, not business solicitation.

  • Absolutely! Our Director of Education, Bri Van Til, is a former educator and can guide you in tailoring your presentation for our audience. She can assist in narrowing down your topic, suggest areas to expand or condense, and more. Whether you’re a first-timer or an experienced presenter, we’re committed to helping you succeed.

  • Once. We work hard to diversify our speaker pool and to amplify new and different voices, so we don't repeat speakers in the same format (ex. webinar, Alt Legal Connect, Alt Legal Trademark Paralegal Course). The quest for new and different speakers helps ensure our audience hears new and different perspectives, ideas, and strategies.
