TMAE Summit RoundtablesRaise Awareness: Making Your Case in Salary Negotiations
Bri Van Til | September 23, 2026
We’ll be making the most of our time during the lunch hour at the TMAE Summit by hosting small roundtable discussions on a variety of relevant topics. Each roundtable will have a host assigned to lead the discussion with pertinent questions, allowing you to share knowledge and resources and get to know your fellow conference attendees.
Roundtable Description
Most professionals have been taught how to negotiate, but failing to do so can end up with you leaving real money and real perks on the table. Preparation is where that changes: knowing comparable salary ranges, documenting concrete wins and added responsibilities, and having the numbers ready before the conversation starts can better equip you for success.
In this roundtable discussion, Sloane O’Hare from Alt Legal will lead a discussion about approaching these conversations with confidence and a plan. Participants will discuss:
- How to approach the negotiation itself
- What evidence to collect and bring
- How to prepare beforehand
- What to ask for besides just more money
