Animal Welfare

ASPCA – The ASPCA was the first humane society to be established in North America and is, today, one of the largest in the world. It was founded on the belief that animals are entitled to kind and respectful treatment at the hands of humans and must be protected under the law.

World Wildlife Fund – WWF works to conserve and restore biodiversity, the web that supports all life on Earth; to reduce humanity’s environmental footprint; and to ensure the sustainable use of natural resources to support current and future generations.

Support for Ukraine

Support Hospitals in Ukraine – Support Hospitals in Ukraine is committed to support Ukrainian hospitals with much-needed modern medical equipment and supplies from the United States.

World Central Kitchen – Since the invasion of Ukraine, WCK’s Relief Team has been on the ground supporting families sheltering in the country as well as refugees arriving in Poland, Romania, Moldova, Hungary, and most recently, in Spain. Cooking out of our own Relief Kitchen in Przemysl, Poland and mobilizing a vast network of chefs and volunteers across all six countries, WCK is providing nearly 200,000 hot, nourishing meals every day.

Childhood Literacy

Start Lighthouse – Start Lighthouse promotes childhood literacy for low-income families by holding “Literacy Adventures” to help build home libraries, by providing diverse representation in books that are distributed so students see themselves in what they read, and by hosting community workshops to empower family members and caregivers to support literacy development, including their own.

LGBTQIA+ Rights

Lambda Legal – Lambda Legal, is a national organization committed to achieving full recognition of the civil rights of lesbians, gay men, bisexuals, transgender people and everyone living with HIV through impact litigation, education and public policy work.

Social Justice

Leaders of a Beautiful Struggle – LBS is a grassroots think-tank which advances the public policy interest of Black people in Baltimore through: youth leadership development, political advocacy, and autonomous intellectual innovation.

National Urban League – The League is a historic civil rights organization dedicated to economic empowerment, equality, and social justice. The League promotes economic empowerment through program areas that include education and job training, housing and community development, workforce development, entrepreneurship, health and quality of life.

Criminal Justice Reform

The Innocence Project – The Innocence Project exonerates the wrongly convicted through DNA testing and reforms the criminal justice system to prevent future injustice.

Diversity in Law

Black Entertainment Arts and Sports Lawyers Association (BESLA) – BESLA is a nationally recognized leader in legal education and professional development for lawyers and professionals in the entertainment, sports, and related industries. BESLA offers several scholarship opportunities for students attending historically Black law schools.

Leg Up Legal – Leg Up Legal provides mentoring and career advice for prospective and current law students.

Metropolitan Black Bar Association – The purpose of the MBBA, a unified citywide association of African American and other minority lawyers, is to advance equality and excellence in the pursuit of justice, aid the progress of Blacks and other minorities in the profession, address legal issues affecting the citywide community, and foster the study of law by encouraging the personal and professional development of young lawyers and law students.

NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund Scholarships – LDF is America’s premier legal organization fighting for racial justice. Through litigation, advocacy, and public education, LDF seeks structural changes to expand democracy, eliminate disparities, and achieve racial justice in a society that fulfills the promise of equality for all Americans.

The Playing Field Project – The Playing Field Project Foundation works to eliminate the socioeconomic barriers to the legal profession. The Project provides financial assistance to low-income BIPOC for LSAT prep services, law school application assistance, and pre-law school prep programs.
