2 min read

We’ll be making the most of our time during the lunch hour at the I ♡ Trademarks Conference by hosting small roundtable discussions on a variety of relevant topics. Each roundtable will have a host assigned to lead the discussion with pertinent questions, allowing you to share knowledge and resources and get to know your fellow conference attendees.

Roundtable Description

Licensing deals can lead to transformative opportunities for licensors and licensees alike. However, they also come with unique and often complex challenges that require careful strategy, and ideally, legal oversight. As attorneys, we play a crucial part in protecting our clients’ interests, while fostering collaboration, and ultimately, profitability. In this roundtable, Nicole Dolgon of ECSA Legal will lead a discussion exploring the advantages and disadvantages of a licensing arrangement, and offer practical insights and strategies to ensure smooth transactions. Participants will engage on matters such as:

  • Identifying common difficulties in licensing agreements and strategies to mitigate them
  • Balancing client expectations with realities of contractual limitations
  • Leveraging creative problem solving to overcome party standstill
  • Understanding how licensing agreements can adapt to evolving markets
  • Sharing experiences and best practices for optimizing licensing relationships
