CHICAGO and NEW YORK, March 12, 2018 — CNA today announced that it has named IP docketing provider Alt Legal, Inc. as the newest member of its Allied Vendor Program.

Alt Legal, an industry leader in IP docketing automation, utilizes data from IP offices to programmatically identify and update IP filings and deadlines without manual effort. Alt Legal’s IP docketing tools also allow IP professionals to instantly collect filing information and create new filings with just a few clicks.

“Missed filing deadlines and incorrectly prepared filings are among one of the leading causes of legal malpractice claims,” said Michael Barrett, Director of Lawyers Risk Control at CNA. “CNA is pleased to offer our customers a solution that can streamline IP prosecution and reduce the risk of missed deadlines.”

“Alt Legal is committed to using technology and data to simplify and automate the riskiest parts of IP work,” said Nehal Madhani, founder and CEO of Alt Legal. “We are thrilled to be part of the CNA Lawyers’ Allied Vendor Program, and we laud its goal of helping law firms identify companies to help them reduce risks.”

In 2007, CNA developed its Allied Vendor Program to provide customers with access to additional risk control programming that creates safer, more secure work environments. This program remains a key resource for providing tools to assist policy holders in mitigating risk, and it underscores CNA’s commitment to provide its customers with more than just an insurance policy.
