We’ll be making the most of our time during the lunch hour at the TMAE Summit by hosting small roundtable discussions on a variety of relevant topics. Each roundtable will have a host assigned to lead the discussion with pertinent questions, allowing you to share knowledge and resources and get to know your fellow conference attendees.
Roundtable Description
Doing great work is important, but it’s often not enough by itself. Meaningful career growth requires trademark professionals to make their expertise visible to others. From speaking at conferences and webinars to sharing knowledge with peers and participating in professional communities, trademark professionals have many opportunities to build their reputations and establish themselves as trusted resources. And developing a reputation as a knowledgeable and generous contributor can open doors to new opportunities, leadership roles, and career advancement.
In this roundtable, Tara Dressler of the University of Colorado will lead a discussion about building a professional presence, sharing your expertise, becoming more involved in the trademark community, and using these opportunities to support your long-term career goals. Participants will discuss:

Roundtable Host
Tara Dressler
, Director, University of Colorado
Tara Dressler serves as the Senior Director for Trademarks at System Administration in the Office of University Counsel at the University of Colorado. Tara has been with the University since September 2007, where she had held the position of IP Manager for the Technology Transfer Office. Prior to joining the University, Tara worked as a paralegal in Washington, D.C. Tara’s legal experience has been focused on Intellectual Property and she holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Penn State University, as well as a Bachelor of Science Degree in Paralegal Studies from the University of Maryland.
