TMAE Summit RoundtablesYou Can Manage: Effective Leadership Skills at All Levels

We’ll be making the most of our time during the lunch hour at the TMAE Summit by hosting small roundtable discussions on a variety of relevant topics. Each roundtable will have a host assigned to lead the discussion with pertinent questions, allowing you to share knowledge and resources and get to know your fellow conference attendees.

Roundtable Description

The skill sets required to be a good worker and to be a good manager are often significantly different, and there is no manual for being an excellent leader. Management requires earning trust, setting expectations, and knowing when to step in versus step back, and those challenges only compound as a team grows or changes shape.

In this roundtable, Alt Legal CEO Nehal Madhani will lead a discussion about what effective management looks like in practice, for those looking to become managers for the first time and those wanting to sharpen their existing skills. Participants will discuss:

  • What skills signal readiness for a first management role
  • How to build trust and communicate clearly with a team
  • When to delegate and when to stay hands-on
  • How to structure good reporting and feedback systems
  • Why difficult conversations matter, and how to handle them well
